Fryers have a larger capacity and operate at only 120V.
1. It takes about 10 minutes, the fist tank of oil to heat up, but when the oil is heated to a certain temperature, you could fry food very quickly. And it also could keep the temperrature, no need to wait for the continuous operation.
2. It is possible that the heating time is too long because of the heating element. You can try to clean the heating tube and probe and try again.
3. Single-cylinder fryers are guaranteed to operate at 120v, 1800w. Double-cylinder fryers are recommended to use two separate circuits, each plug requiring 120v, 1800w operating conditions.
Here's a tip for frying that might be of some help to you
Never over-fill the frying basket with food. Maximum basket capacity is 2/3 full.
Fry more batches of smaller amounts of food. Best results are obtained when the hot oil can freely circulate all around the food.
In general, pre-cooked foods require higher temperatures and less cooking time.
